I would like to explain the reason for why many bookcrossers are asking for this link back.
The site we are talking about contains a forum that lives from October 2002.
It has 2320 members (at the date of today) and 248096 posts.
There are 16 mods and admins, they live in 7 different cities of Italy.
This forum is the place where all meetups in Italy are organized (I mean local and national meetups) and where you can find reports, photos and other things referring to those meetings.
Thanks to this forum in these years we have arranged several "solidarity missions", for example I'm the promoter of one of this (consisting in collect books for the local jail library), but in the past we have supported schools, people after alluvions etc.
The forum is moreover a support site for readers and bookcrossers: here you can find more than 600 book reviews, help areas about bc.com for not speaking english people, tips and tricks about where and how release books.
Besides, thanks to the overed-measure creativity of some members of the community, there are always new proposal about global releases centered around a topic or a special date.
Then I would like to remember the area for the media coverage that has taken note of the italian bookcrossing in the past 3 years.
Obviously the forum is also a place where to find new friends that share the passion for bookcrossing.
All this to say what it would be lost by a new member that would not find the link on this site: our past, our present and our future.
Thank you,
Alessia
