La mia JE ve la copio qui:
Vi interessa? E' il libro fiction piu' intrigante che ho letto quest'anno![...]Two tales grow together here: Grey, a girl in her early twenties, with a severe psychological problem (maybe also due to her upbringing), and her trip to Tokyo, on the search for something she read once in a book, but was denied as a bunch of lies from the world around her, and Shi Chongming's diary, a Chinese survivor of the massacre of Nanking, who is teaching sociology at Todai University in Tokyo.
The style is incredible: the descriptions of the garden in the house Grey inhabits with the other coworkers of the club, the garden with the statues of the children, the metropolis and the people on the street, some of it is quite lyrical, really, seen through the almost childlike eyes of Grey. And then there are the strange people: the Nurse and Fuyuki, the gangster boss, as well as Jason and the Russian twins. The description of these is so well done, you could really see them in front of you...well, maybe not the Nurse...she is really a scary one!
Not going to spoil the enjoyment of the story now telling you more...I am stopping here![...]
